The Lakes Region offers so much to families who snowmobile. Lodging, food, gas, snowmobile sales, service, rentals and parking are available on the trail. Hundreds of miles of scenic “local trails” meander across beautiful hillsides, lakes and streams and wind their way up to mountain tops. These trails are real jewels, ideal for family riding, and not meant to be run at high speed. We like to have fun, but remember, Maine has a tough snowmobile-OUI law - Check it out..snowmobile in forest
Snowmobiling in the Lakes Region depends on the hard work and cooperation of many snowmobile club volunteers working behind the scenes, but the landowners are the key to our excellent trail system. Next time you ride, don’t take the trail for granted. Think about the generous landowner, who gave permission to ride on private land, and obey “Stay On Marked Trail” or other signs that the landowner has requested. To do otherwise could jeopardize the existence of the trail. Join one of the snowmobile clubs on this map and do your part to support the trail system.

Ride safely and Keep the rubber side down.
